So you are looking for the fastest way to lose weight, you want to lose 10 pounds, and ideally more.
What’s the first thing you think of? Probably a “Low Carb Diet”.
Almost everyone has heard of “low carb" diets -
But do low carb diets really work? Are they the final solution to weight loss problems
that everybody is seeking?
Well, I don’t think so. Most low carb diets have problems which make losing weight difficult for the dieter.
For example, if you use the Atkins diet for weight loss (a very popular low carb diet sometimes referred to as the Adkins diet) then the restrictions on carb intake in the first couple weeks is extremely severe (by any standards).
The Atkins diet program allows only 20 grams of "net carbs" a day for the first phase of the diet (which usually lasts around 2 weeks).
Even a large apple has over 20 grams of "net carbs".
This low level of carbs is usually too severe for the “average” dieter to cope with over 2 weeks, in fact eating such low carbs can make a person feel weak all day long (because your body needs more carbs than that for energy).
Other low carb diets (like the South Beach Diet) are not nearly as severe as the Atkins Plan, but in my opinion even the South Beach Diet is not so easy to follow as it should be.
I believe that a really successful diet MUST be easy to follow – that’s the only
way that people can stick to their diet and ultimately lose weight.
I believe that any diets for weight loss should not make ordinary people feel “miserable” or “weak” all day long. If a diet makes people feel miserable and weak then it’s going to be extremely difficult for the average dieter to stick with to such a program.
I’m not saying that all low carb diets are as restrictive as the Atkins Diet, but I am saying that most low carb diets are too hard to follow, so that “average dieters” will probably end up feeling hungry and weak all day long (which is not good for dieting success).
I believe that “low carbs” are not the answer to losing weight, since your body needs a quantity of all 3 types of calories to lose weight consistently (that’s protein, carbs, and fat).
To lose weight quickly you must eat all 3 types of calories in the right proportions, which is why most dieters fail. They fail because they don’t know what the right proportions of calories should be.
To lose weight fast I recommend the new Idiot Proof Diet -
